What are flower essences?

Flower essences are liquid extracts that help individuals address their mental and emotional well-being. While flowers have been used for healing for centuries, flower essences were developed in the 1930s by an English physician, Dr. Edward Bach.

How are flower essences made?

Flower essences are made through the process of sun steeping, or by boiling the flower in water. Both of these processes capture the energy imprint of the flower in the water, so unlike essential oils or herbal remedies, there is no physical part of the flower in a flower essence, only its healing vibration.

What are elixirs?

Similar to how flower essences capture the essence of the plant material that they are made from, gem elixirs capture the essences of the gemstone that they are made from. As many people are already familiar with the attributes of various gemstones, gem elixirs contain those same attributes in a liquid form.

Is this homeopathy?

While flower essences and homeopathic remedies are very similar, there are important differences. Both are based on energetic, rather than biochemical principles, and both are physically diluted. Also, both modalities address the whole person — mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical— and work with the person’s healing process rather than by suppressing symptoms. Where they differ is that homeopathic remedies are administered based on the Law of Similars – Like cures like – whereas flower essences are based more on archetypal themes of one’s non-physical nature, serving as an aid to individuals who are looking to push past blockages that have arisen along their life’s journey.

How are Sol Blossoms products manufactured?

The process by which Sol Blossoms products are manufactured begins with the preparation of the essences and elixirs. A combination of these essences and elixirs are bottled with purified water, and a small amount of glycerin as a preservative.
